First day of school 2013

Sprinkler fun!

Many days during the summer were spent doing this:

Lucas was 3 in July

A long time ago Lucas had a birthday.
Here are some pictures from his special day.

I adore this little boy.

Mammoth Gulch Camping

Our last family camping trip of the year was to Mammoth gulch in the James peak wilderness.

We arrived late.
It was dark and raining AGAIN.
Instead of being sad Ben got to work putting up the tent while I made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the car.
It stopped raining and we found wood and built a fire.
The boys played with their glow in the dark sticks.
Reagan explored in the darkness.
We roasted marshmallows.
The boys giggled.
We smiled and breathed in the beautiful mountain fresh air.
Everyone peed in the bushes.
We got our beds ready and dressed in PJ's.
Everyone snuggled in their sleeping bags.
I told stories from living in England.
We were snoring before we knew it.
The peaking sun rays woke us all up.
We cooked a breakfast.
We drove up a mountain and hiked to a remote lake.
The kids did amazingly well climbing down a crazy steep trail.
We attempted to fool the fish and catch success.
We ate snacks in the wilderness.
We climbed out.
We went shooting.
We picked wild raspberries.
We enjoyed living this wonderful weekend!

Life is so GOOD.

Silver Dollar Lake Camping Trip

We went camping!
It was wonderful.
It rained and we ate our tin foil dinners in the car.
The rain stopped and the boys splashed in puddles.
We got sticky as we gobbled up smores.
We slept perfectly in our 3 man tent, squished cozily together.
Jack got to drive the car and thought it was the coolest thing in the world.
We basked in the awe of Gods creations.
We hiked 5 miles.
Lucas pooped in a bush.
Reagan ran and ran and ran wagging her tail the whole time.
We skipped stones and paddled in water.
It was perfect!
