For Christmas I like to make sentimental gifts for my parents. I think I enjoy it more than they do. Perhaps they would prefer I just buy them a top or something but oh well.
This year I made a dance and videoed it. I was really touched by the message in the song "Beautiful heartbreak" written and sang by Hilary Weeks. The message is one of hope and that trails and challenges are there to help us come to know God and as we come to know Him we will look back at that trail or mountain in our life and see it as a gift. A gift of growth, a gift of knowledge and gained love. An opportunity to know our savior.
My parents moved to America a couple of years ago and there have been many challenges for them since being here and I wanted to provide a gift that shows them I am grateful for their sacrifices and thrilled that we live closer. The message is for all who are and who have experienced pain, failure, sorrow, fear and disappointment. It is a message that encourages you to reach the top of the mountain in your way, to be able to see your growth and be thankful for the challenge. You will be stronger and better equipped for the next mountain that lies in your road.
It is totally cheesy:)
