Wednesday it Snowed and Snowed and snowed and we played and played and played until all our fingers and toes were numb. Elaine and I made a killer snowman. I'd like to say it was a trip back to my childhood but that would be a fat lie as in little Shepshed England we got so little snow and the one year I manged to make a snowman there was no snow left on the grass. Jack and Ethan played like saints; no screaming, hitting, arguing nothing but happiness. I think jack and I will be spending a lot of time outside in the snow as it makes us happy:)

The lovely snowman who now looks like he has a hunchback but in his glory he looked so splendid, Hershey kisses for eyes, a killer carrot for a nose and we decapitated a bush to give him arms...sorry Green Peace;)

Happy Kiddo. I think Jack is going to develop a fast love for snow time. I think I will use it to bribe him. Hummmm yes sounds like an excellent idea!

RED ROCKS in the snow. This place is beautiful in every season.

MR. Carney LOVES the snow I am hoping we can get a pass to one of the ski resorts this year so he can get some snowboard loving in this winter.

So on our snowy drive (we love to take family drives together) we saw a bunch of Elk. They were seriously surrounding our car at one point. I was giddy with excitement, Ben was looking everywhere but on the road (it is a miracle that we have never has an accident while he is driving) and Jack was chatting away to the Elk through the open windows. It was a huge bonus to my day. LOVE LOVE wild animals.

Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore... Tricky witches at your door.

The spooks are after things to do, In fact, a spook brought this "BOO" to you.

The excitement comes when friends like you, Copy this note and make it two.

We'll all have smiles on our faces, When we see who Boo'd who's places.

I was Boo'd by Team Weymouth!

The following 4 ladies have been officially BOO'd...

CHERYL FOWERS': This lovely lass is so special because she was one of my first great friends after getting married and a bonus our hubbies share the love of fishing, outdoors and rock band. I consider her as family. She has been there for me seen me through some stickiness, gives amazing advice and I can always count on her to be a good listening. We have laughed and cried with one another. She is one of the people who have got me so excited about photography; she is amazing and her blog is a testament to that. She is quirky, imaginative and compassionate.

CARLEE TULETT: Mrs Tulett took a break from blogging which saddened me greatly but fear not she is back!! I love this lady to bits. She was my first ever running partner. She is sarcastic, funny and loves the office. She has a dynamic personality and I wish I still lived near enough to pop by everyday and sap up all her goodness. I am so thrilled that she is blogging again so I can enjoy watching them and their antics.

LINDSEY SCOTT: I love your blog!!! Lindsey lived in Loughborough (the ward I grew up in) for a short period of time and got to know my Mum. The first time I met her was a surprise birthday party for my Dad and I. I had been flying all day long and really wasn't with it, she probably thought I was a little loopy. Anyway I love to read her blog it is engaging and entertaining. I love the way she explains the joys, challenges and mishaps of being a mother. Thanks for your thoughts Lindsey.

SIAN GUILD: Sian and I were in the same ward growing up. She now lives over here in America and I love her blog. She is super talented and creative. She makes the loveliest stuff. Her kids have the most enormous radiant eyes you have ever seen and she is an amazing mamma!

Jack Story...

Funny story about this kid; Mr. Jack. Last Sunday Ben, Jack and I were all enjoying a lazy morning laying in bed.

Ben: I need to get in the shower
Jack: No shower daddy
Ben: I need to shower because I smell

Jack looks at Ben, Ben lifts up him arm exposing his armpit

Ben: smell me, I am stinky

Jack moves in but instead of smelling the armpit he climbs over Ben and takes a whiff of his bottom

Jack: Stinky!

HA! Love my little man Jack:)

Life as A mum...

Why do I say "oh I'm just a stay at home mum" when asked my occupation? Maybe its the pride of a semi feminist of just lack of confidence in God's work but regardless I want to change it and answer from my heart.

My heart is full. Being a mother is the hardest adventure I have embarked on and yet there are days or weeks when I feel like I have accomplished nothing and yet I am exhausted. Utterly exhausted.

As I got pregnant unexpectedly it took a while to come to terms with being a mum especially being at school surrounded by single giggling dancers. And really it wasn't until I finished school that I really felt settled into motherhood. Perhaps some of you are shocked that it took me so long...Well it did. I believe in seasons of life and each season takes some growing up, some letting go and lots of trust in God. Motherhood, I have found took a lot of growing up. Still working on that;)

Motherhood is all about trust. Trust in God, trust in yourself and trust in your little baby. Even though there are days that I am a slave to the vacuum or crawling on the floor trying to replenish the stains of filth caked into my carpet I believe I am building a foundation on which my little Jack, who by the way tells me frequently that he is not my baby, can grow in character and stature.

Once you get past all the cleaning, laundry (plies of that), tantrums, never ending nursery rhythms its the special moments that matter most. It in these moments that Heavenly Father teaches me about the importance of this great work; motherhood.

I am no expert, actually I have done almost everything I always said I would not do since being a mum but I do know that being a mother and raising children is a divine role sent from God, our Heavenly Father. No matter how lowly some might think motherhood I have never worked harder in my life and never felt closer to my Heavenly Father than I do being a stay at home mother. So next time someone asks "what do you do?" I hope my reply will be "I am full time mother and I have never worked harder and been more rewarded in my life! What do you do?" HA! I think I might say that to myself daily, it sounds like a good prep to prepare me for the tantrums, the biting, the mess and all the love. Oh the LOVE!

Life as a mother...I wouldn't have it any other way:)
