A glorious saga

I have recently finished this beautiful novel "The Shell Seekers" by Rosamunde Pilcher. It was a glorious saga that followed the life of an incredibly intriguing woman. There was so much to love about it. The first chapter was a little slow but after that I was hooked tight with anticipation. Not only did the book take me home to England with the familiar vocabulary, traditions and scenery but it presented ordinary life in extraordinary ways. Rosamunde Pilcher's use of words, analogies and comparisons breathed life in the pages of the book. By the end of the book sadness swelled within me it was as if I had said goodbye to a dear friend. As sad as it was to come to close of an incredible journey I am thrilled to have experienced it. The main character "Penelope" was such an inspiration to me. She had the ability to live life to the fullest, be optimistic with her circumstances and see true beauty in others. I love books that not only fill my senses with wonder and delight but also fill my heart with a desire to be better. This was a glorious book and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get lost in a brilliant saga.
