I am Crazy!

...Oh but you already knew that.

As you know I love exercise, exercise is my daily renewal of my mind, body and spirit. So, with all the snow that was predicted to come, and yes it came with force last night, I thought I needed to get a run in yesterday afternoon.

Please picture this...

I am pushing this, well mine is not half as nice and has a bump in one of the tires that makes for a rocking ride, but Jack doesn't complain:)

This 35 pound power ball is sitting or more like squirming in the stroller

and then I am pulling this young lady while singing words of encouragement

and then to make everything dandy it started doing this

and at this point lots of this started happening

We got soaked...literally soaked. As a result the run was cut short only a mere 1.5 miles, but a workout none the less.

And remember I am

that is 24 weeks along:)

Well, it was crazy but I felt so good after and was a better mother. I guess you have got to take the pain to play the happy game.

I love working my body:)

Running out of Steam...

Well, I am a little pathetic right now. Feeling somewhat sorry for myself. I feel like I have not had a real conversation with the love of my life in over a week and we are still in the thick of busy season (he doesn't do taxes, he audits, just thought I'd verify). I just keep telling myself hold in till Saturday because, drum roll please........my family come to visit! I am so excited and wish they were already here.

Ben's busy season has been more taxing on me this year than last year, maybe it's because I am pregnant or I could just be getting weak. It's hard for me but I also remind myself that its equally hard for him, seriously who wants to be at work all hours of the day? I know he doesn't want to.

Sundays the day of rest; yeah right! He works just as long at church. This Sunday I saw him in the hall and just wanted to steal him away but duty called.

One of our Sunday school lesson objectives was; be the best you can be no matter your situation. I think that was directed at me because I have had a bad attitude lately.

Dealing with never seeing my husband, with a child that misses his daddy terribly and has the ability to press every possible nerve and twist it till I almost hit the roof, have a growing precious life within me that I have barely have the time to think about and a beautiful but bounding puppy who sticks her needle teeth into everything I am reminded that at least I have these things.

Sometimes life gets crazy and we can freak out (I did that this weekend) and give up or we can take the punches and break out a smile and laugh. At the end of the day busy season is just a tiny moment in time and will indeed pass and then I will enjoy the frequent company of my husband, some people do not have that. I have gained an admiration for those single parents out there, they are truly amazing to do all that they do alone, what an inspiration!

I am going to try harder.

Baking Frenzy!

Urg...I am through with baking for the day! Well, all my hard work better pay off, hope those at our church activity think its tasty or at least smile and fake like the like it! I can hope:)

"It's a little like baking a cake. You don't always have to stick to the recipe. You just have to trust your instincts." -Eileen Goudge Quotes

Introducing...Reagan-Ann, our little 8 and a half week old puppy. She is a German Short-haired Pointer. She is a little crazy but terribly lovable:)

Jack smothers her!

We got the little lady Saturday lunch time and for the first few days she was shy but we are now seeing a playful, fun loving little puppy. Potty training has not been too bad (so far) only a couple of accidents and she has done really well during the night.

Yesterday, Jack and his friend were playing cars. They set up all their cars up in a race line and each time they would turn their back Reagan stole a car-HA! Jack was not impressed! I, on the other hand thought it was quite entertaining.

So, people have commented "wow your brave, getting a new puppy and having a baby in just a few months," I think in their mind they think we are stupid and maybe we are but you got to live life so here we are in the fast lane...hopefully we stay a float.

For the last few months I have been helping with the choreography for a local high school musical. It was very low stress for me (which I loved) and a whole lot of fun.

The Jack Attack!

The other day at Walmart he was playing with the sticker the greeter had given him. He dropped it I picked it up and gave it to him and he said, "Oh this is terrible it doesn't stick anymore!"

Funny kid!

OK, here are photo's of the house.

I think if our house was a person it would be a woman. About her:

  • She was build in the 70's
  • Tri level
  • Four bedrooms (three up stairs and one on the lower level)
  • A little over 2000 sq ft
  • Sloppy back yard
  • Two decks; one wood one brick
  • Too many huge trees
  • A bizzilion light switches
  • Two car garage- one of my favorite features! It even has a remote control, can you tell I am a little giddy?
  • Crazy baby blue counter tops in kitchen and bathroom (one day this will change)
  • Wako electrical wiring; my husband is amazing and fixed one problem with electrocuting himself
  • Do it yourself dry wall; eek!
  • Some interesting choice of paint colors, but what can you do?
  • Tons of kitchen cupboard space
  • A spacious funky wall papered laundry room (love it!)
  • Lots of closet space
  • Gas stove which is awesome
  • A gate into our neighbor's yard
  • We can't decide if our kitchen and dinning area is hard wood floor or pergo
  • Sadly a woman, the previous owner died at the bottom of our stairs last august:( She is in a better place now
  • Before becoming our home she was the home to a single mum and her four kids since 1985

...That's all folks:)
