As you watch the slide show consider this question: How can I get Jack to clean his teeth? He used to love it until I forgot to do it for a while and now he throws a fit whenever I try to clean his teeth. Any ideas????

Oh other than letting Jack see you cleaning your teeth and making it fun. Maybe you and Ben could do a little show for him about cleaning teeth =)

You could just not brush them, like I do with Sam! I know it is so bad, but he has so few teeth I always forget! Although he does like chewing on toothbrushes. Do you have yummy toothpaste? My boys favorite is the little kids one with the bear on it.

I "brush" Reid's teeth every night. Although we usually play it by ear. He opens him mouth and I brush a bit then we wants to be done, so I wait until he opens again. If he throws a fit I try not to brush because I don't want him to have a negative association with brushing. Also, I agree with the above comment, yummy toothpaste is a must. Also, I always brush Reid's teeth in the tub so he's distracted, and I'm not worried about the mess. Hope this helps.

I love the black and white photos of you and Jack!

I would say give him candy every time he brushes his teeth but then that defeats the purpose doesn't it? Haha, what an interesting mother I will make :)

I don't have any advice for you, I just wanted to say hi because I found your blog. Those pictures of you and Jack are so cute. I love your hair.

Brielle used to love having me brush her teeth, now she hates it. A couple of things I have done that seem to make it possible for the toothbrush to make contact with each of her teeth are-- let her "brush" them herself while in the bath; or lay her down on the floor (she seems to like to open her mouth more when she's laying down and I'm looking closely at her face); or sometimes I will pretend to brush my teeth with her toothbrush... and then she wants to join in the fun. Those are some ideas... none of them work all the time for me, but usually 1 of them will do the trick if the others fail! I hope you find something that works well for you and Jack!

One thing I do with my youngest, Jamews, is sing 'fun to do' from the priamry song book, e.g 'brushing your teeth is fun to do, to do, to do, to do to do', it is also great for hair and face washing!

In case you are wondering who I am, I am Chris Beaumont's (from Loughborough Ward) sister Anne.

Your blog is lovely, and Jack is very cute.
